Published Writing

  Having taken natural history images and photographed historic buildings and features, local curiosities, etc. for a number of years, I intended sharing my experiences giving talks. Aiming to reach a wider audience I was encouraged to write about my discoveries. A particular interest is in recording details of our disappearing heritage.

  My writing has since broadened to include a wide range of other topics including tips for parents of young children, coping with downsizing, clearing a family home and entering (and winning) consumer competitions. Entering writing competitions for both poetry and fiction has also brought some success.

  I have contributed letters, tips, recipes and photographs and provided filler items for a range of publications. These have included Best of British, The Lady, The People's Friend, Cat World, Dogs Today, TV Times, Woman's Realm, Woman's Own, Woman's Weekly, Gardeners' World, Competitors' World and Writers' Forum.
